United Way Winnipeg

Kathy Knudsen is Vice President, Community Investment of United Way Winnipeg.

The Community Investment Department is responsible for agency partner relations and community investment allocations including support to the volunteer led Community Investment Committee. In addition, responsibilities include the innovation and learning centre activities in support of capacity building within the non-profit sector; organizational strategic initiatives such as PEG( community indicator system), workplace and community engagement activities including Day of Caring, Living on the Edge Poverty Simulation, and Koats for Kids.   The Community Investment Department also works together with and supports the Youth United Council, the Council for Indigenous Relations and collective impact approaches to address social issues through the work of the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council.   United Way of Winnipeg works closely and proactively with community, government, labour and business leaders to create and leverage strategies for investment and impact towards a better Winnipeg.

Kathy has an MPA from the University of Manitoba/University of Winnipeg and is a graduate of the York University Schulich School of Business Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership.
