Alana Cuma

Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce

As Executive Vice President of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Alana Cuma ensures the organization’s grassroots policies are both richly informed by the community and strategically activated to drive change.

Her mandate goes beyond mobilizing business – reaching out to foster community-based dialogue and purposeful collaboration. Her program portfolio includes The Chamber’s Leadership Councils, Research Collaborative and Leadership Fund.

Alana is deeply involved in the community. She currently sits on the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council, the Marymound Circle Capital Campaign Committee (raising funds for its Mental Health and Complex Needs Centre), and of the Centre of Responsibility Committee for Winnipeg’s Block by Block Initiative – a platform for authentic collaboration that improves community safety and social outcomes for families by unlocking agency, community, and family capacity.

Alana also serves on the judging panel for the Mayor’s Scholarship for Community Leadership, has served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Public Relations Society – Manitoba Chapter and was a liaison for the International Association of Business Communicators.

Alana holds a Creative Communications diploma from Red River College, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and is a graduate of the Leadership Winnipeg program.
