Cynthia Foreman

Past Co-Chair

Retired since November 2012 after a career that spanned over 34 years with the federal government, Cynthia divides her time volunteering, travelling and with her grandchildren. She has held executive positions in several departments including Indian and Northern Affairs, the Manitoba Federal Council, Western Economic Diversification, Veterans Affairs, as well as several years in Human Resource Management with Parks Canada and Transport Canada. She has extensive experience working with community groups, policy development, negotiations and operations management

Cynthia has volunteered with United Way Winnipeg for many years including in Agency Liaison (since 2010), Campaign Cabinet (2011, 2012), the United Way Board of Trustees and the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council for 9 years, including as Community Co-Chair for the past 5 years. Other volunteer work is with the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology and the National Association of Federal Retirees. In the past, she has sat on the Career Trek board and YMCA Women of Distinction Planning Committee.

Cynthia is a wife, mother of one and grandmother to three. Spending time with her grandchildren is still her favourite activity!
